Meeting Alice
Oh dear, I said I'd update more often and have failed miserably :-( I also need to find a new layout - I'm really, really not keen on this one!! That will be a nice little time waster sometime :-)

Anyway, I wanted to update as Tuesday was a big diaryland moment for me, meeting lovely Alice of alicesbaby arthursmummy and sheepdip fame! I've known Alice online for three years, and loved her for as long, even though we met through me upsetting her by being grumpy in her guestbook over some minor church issue...funny memories. It was soo lovely to meet someone who I've followed through the end of a chronic illness, all that ttc with Arthur, and two pregnancies. It was a real honour to help out, although I really don't think I was a lot of help. It is funny to see a familar face being real, in a real house (also familar), and real gorgeous children. Anyone who thinks Alice might be exaggerating Arthur's gorgeousness in her diary would be sadly mistaken, he is such a lovely boy and a real charmer. I have never met such a grinner! He grinned at me for 10 minutes straight when he woke from his nap, as if to say 'I feel a bit shy but I am pleased to see you really.' He is a gorgeous bright boy, and incredibly cute with it. Matthew is also so lovely and new, I got to witness his second and third smiles for mummy, and snuck in a few baby cuddles. It is hard to be detailed, for one thing I'm out of practise with writing, and for another there is lots to remember, and I'm not a sure I need to recount every nappy change etc. Speaking of nappies, I always new my babies would wear cloth nappies (my mother is a bit of an activist too), but oh my goodness, Alice's boys looked gorgeous in thiers. I even got to nose through a whole stash of various sorts. I feel like a girl who walked into her dream :-)

I also wanted to say here, publicly, (and in big letters, if only I knew the HTML), what a fab mummy Alice is. It's asoo clear from reading her diary, but after meeting her in person I have to say she is wonderful, and mamages to be a simultaneous excellent baby and toddler mother, and you can see how much both boys love her to pieces. I'm sure Athrur's loveliness, and his confidence and brightness is due to his lovely mummy and daddy (as werlll as his Father God, of course). I know lots of mums who have 'bits' of the sort of mummy I would like to be, but ALice brings so many of those things together. She is great, and feel honoured to have been to see her :-)
