A bundle of Nothingness
22! that sounds old. But that's how old I'll be when I next write here. My birthday is on the 10th, in case you like to mark the day in some way. My suggested methods are fireworks and a street party.

Thankyou so much to la-the-sage and to takethemoney for the nice things you said about my knitting project. Sometimes, I feel a bit guilty, as if knitting for stillborn babies is somehow going to make more babies die. But fact is, it happens, and I want to create little cosy garments for these tiny much loved people.

It is hot here! For once! And presumably it will be hot in Italy too. We fly tomorrow lunchtime, to Venice, then on to Verona. I can't believe I'm going to see Venice! Lucky me! I bought nice things for my hol today. I had sort of forgotten it was happening, what with everything else, but I am excited now!

Bob is on Ozzie soil now! I have to say I don't think his stay in Japan was an unmitigated success. A severe case of the culture shocks methinks. Add in jet lag, and it's not pretty (this is all read between the the lines from an ostensibly cheerful e-mail). There goes my chance of a Japanese holiday...I think it will be on his black list now. To be honest, I think I would be terrified by that language barrier. Or it might be all romantic like Lost in Translation. I have never seen that, however. Maybe it would be like Takeshi's Castle?? Or Banzai?? Because in that case, it would be worth seeing!

I digress. I had new shoes today. That is always a big day in my eyes! Also a new dress for £7.20!! I love bargains.

Oh bugger, this was meant to be a cathartic pre-holiday purge, and its just a bundle of nothingness.

Perhaps I should pack?
