11:31 p.m. - Thursday, Mar. 11, 2004 I failed my third driving test today. I am really disappointed and feel like a complete failure. Lots of hugs and comfort have alleviated this a little, and Barry the hired cat has helped a lot, but I still feel heavy and dim inside. It was better than my other tests, though, and the moment I crash-bang-walloped into the kerb, I knew it was all over. Saved the suspense from killing me for the next half hour. My mice are angels, they really are. I love them so much. Maisy is crunching on a yogurt pot as I write. Seems the concept of a food being on top of an object is too hard for a mouse to grasp. Thus, they are prone to eating the whole thing that smells of food. I am just trusting Maisy isn't actually ingesting the plastic. She is the less dim of my two girls, so hopefully not. Dipstick mouse! I have little else to say. Most things have been building up to the ill fated test recently, so now everything is a bit bleak. I must comment, however, on how wonderful the Spanish are being in the face of these attacks, I just love the way they all go and stand on the street and say 'we are not afraid of you', rather than hiding or deciding to bomb the whole world. I am rather proud to be European today.
