Return of the KIng
Hello Angels, Charlie here.

Well, I'm back. I was very tempted to break in to 'I will survive' then, but I'm going to try and stay on track.

I hope you're all well. I am. I have no internet connection at home so I am at Uni. The keyboard has that sort of dirty look which you know is the grease of ages off other people's fingers. Mmmm. But, this might save me a quid or two. I don't know if I'm getting a fixed line at home. I want one, but if the others don't, I'll just have to be mobile only. But my new house is all of 5 minutes from here, so fear not, I should still be updating.

Did I say I was going to stay on track?? That one lasted long, didn't it.

I was going to talk about my holiday. But first I'm goingt o talk about where I am. It's on the top floor of our red brick, non descript building. there is an ill wind blowing nobody any good round my legs. THere is a dodgy technician in the corner who keeps turning his computer on and off, and the volume is VERY HIGH. There is a technician with a comb over, a little like a strawberry blonde Hitler basing the hell out of some ducting behind me. Some writers write in dear little garrets, with a cup of cammomile tea at their sides. Some write on lonely beaches. Some write on bleak moors. I daresay some write in front of the telly. But, my darlings, I beat them all. I write here.

I had a lovely holiday. Thanks for missing me, I was very impressed. So was Bob, who I think only half-believes you exist. A, I'm glad the parcel finally made it...maybe it went sightseeing down the east coast before it got to you? That's what I would have done. Would anybody else like a parcel? It's lots of fun.

So, we left on our hols, two weeks ago now. I drove most of the way from the family homestead to Mordor. (That's what the city where I live is now called, seeing as it was Tolkien's inspiration for the ficticious one). It was quite nice, except for overtaking on fast roads, which I've never done before. I was just a little lethal. Bob took over after that.

Saturday, we got down to Cornwall. (If you have a map of the UK, it's the bottom left corner sticking outy bit). It's a long way in British terms, more than 200 miles!! If you've seen a UK road, it won't be difficult for you to accept it took us 7 hours. The holiday house was lovely, huge, with a private pool*.

OK, I'm stopping there. Oh bugger, I hate not having the net at home. My next sentence was 'write more later', but if I can help it, I'm not going to be back in this crazy place until Monday.

Hmph. I'm qite gutted. I missed you all loads. And I have so much to say.

Well, I've got my computer still, so I'll write and upload when I can. There. That's a good arrangement.

I love you all. I can't tell you what this place is to me.

* Outdoor, unheated.
